Cobalt Carbonate

Cobalt carbonate is an inorganic compound with the formula CoCO3. It is a precursor to cobalt carbonyl and various cobalt salts. This reddish paramagnetic solid is an intermediate in the hydrometallurgical purification of cobalt from its ores.
